after thoughts project 3
I have very happy with our projects. I believe that all of them that we have seen went really well specially the fact of the short of time period we had. I wasn't positive that my film was going to go well with the class. The feed back I got I believe that it would help with enhancing my film. Like moving the things out of way that aren't mine. I do believe the focusing on the giraffe eyes as he is being crushed by my stuff help. As well putting the tripod of the pile with camera had a good effect on the end.

project three
The belongings that we hold onto are the things that are important to us. They tell the story of what we find valuable: money, electronics, books, sentimental objects: we all hold dear different things. The things that I find valuable are the objects that have sentimental meaning for me: things that I have collected since I've been a child. I believe that I've collected more toys than clothes, and I consider them one of the most valuable objects I own. This piece illustrates the timeline of the different things I've collected throughout my life.

Maya Deren and Alexander Hammid's Meshes in the Afternoon (1943)
These are classic, influential surrealist films (originally silent, so if you didn't bring headphones, no worries).
As you watch the film, consider the questions below, and then post your responses on your blog:
As you watch the film, consider the questions below, and then post your responses on your blog:
- What story or narrative do you think the filmmakers are trying to impart? Is there more than one story?
- In Maya Deren and Alexander Hammid's Meshes in the Afternoon (1943) I feel like the fist scene where the lady gets the flower, walks around the house and then asleep in the chair. Then it happens all over again and again. Each time it gets more crazy. It is like dream in within a dream within another dream. The camera starts moving side to side. Like the world is being turned upside down. I believe there is a story in a story.
- Describe a couple of the symbols / motifs used -- what do you think they mean?
- How do the filmmakers communicate the passage of time (briefly describe a specific scene and the strategies used)? the scene in the stairwell when the move the camera to the side to side and the jmp cuts to her moving around the stairwell. Taking about the passage of time.

I think the feedback I got from the class was great. The cardboard box was a great idea to use in my project but I believe I would need more time to do that idea. The ending were I put the camera on top of the pile was great but then it wouldn't follow the story line of when I got it because i got it a few years ago. But I love the idea and I am going to stick to the idea idea of putting the camera on top to finish the video. I am just going to pile things on top my bed. I will put objects that I had gotten along time ago first then pile things I have gotten more recent.

Story Board Ideas project 3
First Idea
Concept: A lot of the time we see something one way we are brought up that way. We are quick to judge on the past. I want to do a project were watching you see to common enemy example cat and dog or bird and cat. I want to use mouse and cat. You will see them but they will never be in the same space. Near the end I want you to believe that they are chasing each other. but when I finish story both will actually but not even on the same space and made you believe that they were or the whole time the mouse was actually chasing the cat.
One: See cat sleeping or laying down. Two: Mouse sleeping cleaning himself.
Three: Cat looks up and around something has caught her
Place: My bedroom
In the film: Lucy (Cat) and Fido (mouse)
I been look at chasing senses Tom and Jerry, Mr Fantastic Fox

Problems- I will not be here this weekend so the only time I will be able to do this is next Monday.
Second Idea
I broke it down First- 6ft by 6ft if I had all my things in a space of 6ft by 6ft. Would it tell my story? Could you tell that all the things belong to me? Would other people think it is shitty stuff, would they find value in it? Would I found value in it?
If I pilled everything I own in to a 6ft by 6ft I would be passing though time in that space I could start with the very first things I own and still have to the things I just got yesterday.
I would start with taping 6ft by 6ft space on the floor and then put the first object in the center. From there I would keep piling things in the space until everything I have is in the pile form there maybe I will push over the pile to find the first thing I own and set on the top next to the last thing I got. Maybe I will take everything off the pile and the last thing you see is the first thing I own.
Idea when I am putting the objects on the pile in the corner of the screen I will label the year I got the object.
Place: Bedroom or living room
Things I own: stuff animals, cloths, toys, books, art work, art supplies, bathing stuff, pets etc...
I will have to not use things that I share with my fiance.

Ideas for this project I have been thinking of my favorite t.v. shows I watched as a child. Tom and Jerry was one i want to do something like it. I use my cat and my pet mouse to run around in an area. I have two different ending one with they are running after each other well the camera makes you believe that but in the end both of them were never in the same area. The second one is it looks like lucy the cat is running after the mouse fido but in the end its fido chasing after lucy.
